Pallet racking is used primarily for warehouse storage. As a modular system, creating runs of adjacent bays makes it cost effective.
Which type of pallet racking is right for me?
Our starter bays come in various height and depth options – what you choose will depend on the warehouse space you have to work with, the type of pallets you need to store and how you will access them.
EUR 1 or Euro pallets - 800mm width x 1200mm depth – must be stored in the 1100mm deep racks.
EUR2 or UK pallets – 1200mm width x 1000mm depth – must be stored in the 900mm deep racks.
EUR3 pallets – 1000mm width x 1200mm depth – must be stored in the 1100mm deep racks.
The posts then range in height from 3m up to 6m – select the height based on the space you have to safely work with and the number of pallets you want to store.
Our starter bays offer:
- 2 pairs of beams – stores 6 pallets
- 3 pairs of beams – stores 8 pallets
- 4 pairs of beams – stores 10 pallets
Once you have your starter bay, you can start creating runs with extension bays. The main components of the racking are the uprights and beams, footplates and fixings. If you require extra accessories for the racking we offer mesh or chipboard shelving and timber decking for non palletised goods.
How will you access the racking?
You will need to consider how you will access the racking and how much space you require between each aisle.
Narrow Aisle – efficiently uses your work space and maximizes the height at which pallets can be stacked. You will require specialist trucks to effectively navigate the narrow aisles.
Wide Aisle – Ideal for large warehouses. Each pallet can be directly accessed and racking can be adjusted to accommodate various sized goods.
Drive-in – Effective for loading lots of pallets in close proximity. High density storage great for FILO operations. Maximises both cubic and floor space.
Tested to industry recognised standards - The pallet racking range has been manufactured and tested to FEM standards (European Federation of Materials Handling) to ensure the products are safe for workplace use.
Pallet racking should be designed to accommodate the individual needs of your business. Where space is a big consideration you must ensure the racking solution you choose compliments the way you work.
